Why cant we get an app that shows our utility bills in real time?
I have something like that that talks to my smart meter and shows it on a Web page, so I can see current power and daily averages. It will show cost too if you program that in. Frankly, I can't be bothered to keep checking. There is also software that learns power-cycling patterns and can identify different loads and calculate how much energy each device uses. I don't have that though. There are also devices to measure the power from a single appliance, that you plug into a wall outlet and then plug the device into. So you could measure just how much it costs to run your TV for instance.
