How can I pay anonymously for a strangers utility bill?
Find out what the utility bill is, there are several of them, water, gas, electricity, etc. I think you must know the code number on the bill, not sure. Then call up the billing department of that utility and say you want to pay for the bill, but not to tell the person who has the bill. I wrote checks for my mothers bills when I took care of her, so I suspect this can be done. Some people I knew of didnt have bank accounts and they would go to certain windows where bills could be paid with a money order. Im not actually sure, but I believe you should ask the company first. If they are a stranger, you should get their name, address, etc. Theres a box to check on your utility bill if you want to pay for those who cannot pay, but a particular person, I really am not sure.
