Is a phone bill a utility bill UK?
Yes, in the UK, a Landline telephone bill is considererd a Utility bill. The reason why a mobile statement/bill is not declared a utility bill is because: The address which it is registered to may not be where the phone is most frequently sited. Billing these days for mobiles are 99.% on liine ot pay as you go, so your invoicing goes straight to your phone or you load it up on a card on the network pay system. So technically a utility, it is not deemed to be evidence of address. Other uitility bills which are evidence of address/residence are: Bank statements (unless c/o or if a Company Registered Office) Water supply and/or sewerage disposal. Rent Books for property leases Electricity or gas billing to a specified address and in your name as registered tennant or freeholder. Chris R- London
