Should an employer pay the utility bill like AC as everyone is?
Some companies are pro active in this aspect. They started with supplying of Hand Sanitisers, Soaps, etc. Recently I came to understand that the companies are consulting peer companies and they are planning to compensate the employee for the power and internet facility used by the employee for working from home. Some have already made up their mind, that most companies used to proivde cabs for the employees and now that this expense is drastically curtailed, they intend to use this expenditure buedget towards, emplkoyee benefits and will reimburse the money on the basis of declaration, that the amount is spent for internet, power bill and space they otherwise occupy at Home. This facility may satisfy a good lot of employees. PANDEMIC IS teaching many a new lesson for theindustry, the employee and the employer. Raghavan AVS
