Is it sexism our utility bill was addressed to my boyfriend?
Has he gotten a water bill with the city before, and you havent? I have had these types of issues with municipal utilities before with roommates and on my own. The conversations Ive had trying to set them up will run something like this (the apartment complex may have done this on your behalf?) (because adding a new person to their system is a pita): Have you or anybody in the household had an account with us before? Ive also had: We cant find your address or in the system. Are you sure you dont live on the next street over? (Later they established it was already set up in the system under another name). In the process of troubleshooting, his name may have ended up in their system. Otherwise, its totally sexism.
