What can a wife do when the husband is refusing to buy groceries for?
Grow up and have a good sit-down financial discussion with the person she chose as life partner and co-parent. Seriously, this comes across as incredibly childish and selfish. You both sound like horrible spouses AND parents to use your childrens welfare like this. Marriage is supposed to be a team effort, and shared finances need constant review and change to keep up with the changes in the world, economy, etc. Most functional, healthy couples regularly discuss monthly expenses, bills, etc to keep ahead of things. So sitting down, discussing and reviewing the incomes and bills/expenses of the household and reworking the household budget to provide food for the kids should be a no-brainer. As should paying for the groceries yourself, as needed, for the kids you BOTH are responsible for the care of. Or you could continue to be childish and make your kids starve just to play some immature game with your spouse. Or be an adult, a real parent and you could buy groceries to feed your children and work out the financial details with your spouse.
