Has anyone signed up for Experian credit boost to get credit for?
Has anyone signed up for Experian credit boost to get credit for utility bills you're already paying? They say in their ad to give them your account password. Ive not signed up for Boost. I have written about Boost based on the information published by Experian. For Boost to work, you must grant Experian access to your savings or checking account. This allows for automated verification the utility bill(s) payments are made. Boost does not record payments that are not made as is the case with credit reporting by creditors which are subscribers to the major credit reporting agencies: Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. Not all lenders use the FICO versions to which Boost activity is reported. According to Nerd Wallet: Lenders would see the effects of Boost only if they view your Experian credit report or pull your FICO 8, FICO 9, VantageScore 3 or VantageScore 4 scores built on Experian data. As an example, presently, mortgage lenders which sell their mortgage originations to the GSEs use only FICO versions 5, 4 and 2 for credit scoring.
