Approximately how much are your utility bills in Grand Rapids, MI, or?
It varies wildly, depending on how much you use electric, water, and gas, how well your home or apartment is insulated, size of your home, time of year, and how energy conscious you are. For me, a single adult male with no kids and never leave a light on in a room that I am not in Per month in a 1,300 square foot apartment:about $35 for water, $70 for electricity, and $15 for gas during the summer. In winter or in July and August, gas can be as high as $150. Depending where you are moving from, other things to consider might be the cost of lawn maintenance and removal, city taxes if you are actually in Grand Rapids proper, additional car repairs because of the snow and salt, and general cost of living expenses.
