Why is my utility bill so high in Alberta?
Back in 2017 the electrical rates in Alberta we're at historic low prices, so many people opted for the automatic low premium rate. When Jason Kenney scrapped the program, the prices defaulted to market averages. Since then supply issues and inflation, plus weather, have shown a marked increase in energy costs.
