How much behind can you get on utility bills?
Hi Oscar, I have been off of Quora for sometime due to inundation of questions, etc. My friend, in normal times and in these unusual times, the utility companies, and all companies, are demonstrating compassion and understanding. Consider that the employees of the utility company may have been laid off and having the same questions about their bills. So many are worried. So, here is your answer; COMMUNICATION. In every past-due scenerio, regardless of Debtor, PLEASE call and explain your situation. 99% of all will work with you once you make contact. If you ignore the debt, the inevitable will happen. How long? That varies with counties. Call the Utility company right away. Stay on hold as long as it takes. You will get relief, I promise. My Best, Cory
