Do you think natural gas prices and additional fees on your home bill?

By the time you get your bill, you have to add the price at the well head, the gathering and processing fee, the main line to the gas company fee, the shrinkage from leaks and fuel, the utility that delivers it to your house has a fee. From the time it hits an interstate line it is all regulated and the fees are included in the published tariff. I wont speak for anyone else but the producer is not getting anywhere near what he would get if there was not so much gas around. Gas at the well head is about $3.24 per MCF(Thousand Cubic Feet)(7.83 gallons liquefied). You pay $35 at your house. They dont even measure it in MCF on your household bill, they put CCF (100 Cubic Feet) on your bill. But all in all, as expensive as it seems, it is very cheap compared to anything else. Try heating your house with firewood like they still do in some countries- or coal god forbid
